Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park is known as the first marine national park in Thailand. From your Thailand villa, you can reach this place by driving along 35 miles to the south of Hua Hin, in between Pranburi and Kuiburi. This national park was opened and launched for the first time in 1966. The Sam Roi Yot National Park is nestled on a limestone region and you can find the other limestone hills nearby as well. The freshwater is quite important for the entire elements of the park. Further, it gives the biggest contribution to the ecological significance of the park.
The shoreline habitats that are preserved include sprawling marshes packed with water fowl. Here, you will find more than 300 birds, lizards, mongooses, deer, and goat-antelope. They are well-preserved in order to keep them away from the naughty hands. The other prominent animals present in this national park include the wild dusky langurs, serow, crab eating macaque and the slow Lorris, the spectacled langurs, grey-bellied squirrels, barking deers, fishing cats and Siamese hares. Sometimes some dolphins in the coastal waters appear.
If you have a plan to come to Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, it’s recommended to come in between September and March as during these times you will meet many nomadic birds. When you need more experience than just sightseeing, you can also prefect to stay overnight using the rental tents. Another way, it is also possible to stay at Forestry Department bungalows accommodating up to 20 people. For sure, this experience is much more exhilarating than just staying at villas in Thailand.
A visitor information center is situated close to the Park Headquarter. In this place, all the educational occasions are conducted. Apart from that, the highest altitude in the park is a spot called Khao Krachom or the limestone hills which are located about 605 meters above sea level. From this point, you can see the picturesque of Prachuab coastline.
