Hua Hin Temples |

As has been mentioned above, Hua Hin is one of the historical sites in Thailand and therefore you will find many historical buildings such the famous Buddhist temples. Hua Hin Temples are quite popular amongst the tourists and frequently visited. Besides becoming worship places for the local Thai people, the temples also could attract the more visitors to visit Hua Hin and Thailand in general. In the heart of Hua Hin you can visit Wat Ampharam temple. Together with villas in Thailand design, the temples have remarked Hua Hin as the place to discover the history.
In Phetchaburi areas there are seven main temples which are called Wat Kamphaeng Lang, Wat Yai Suwannaram, Wat Khao Bandai It, Wat Mahathat Worawihan, Wats at Khao Wang, Wat Khao Takhrao, and Wat Kuti. Wat Kamphaeng Lang temple is located in the center of town, which was at the first time utilized as a Khmer place of worship. But then it changed into a Buddhist temple and now there is shrine hall in it. What makes this temple remaining the same as it was built at the first time is due to the sandstone walls as well as the four Khmer style pagodas.
Wat Yai Suwannaram is one prominent temple in Hua Hin, the distance is only 1 kilometer from town. You just need to go to the east of city hall and you will see the temple building. The main features of the temple are the mural paintings which are already 300 years old. The mural paintings are beautifully illustrated the mystical angels. Here you can also visit a multi-functions hall which is situated in Ayutthaya’s Grand Palace. The palace was built using the teak wood and well furnished with the beautiful carving works.
Wat Khao Banda It is the next temple that is situated about two kilometers away from Khao Wang. The temple was built for the first time in Ayutthaya period and now it is also popular as school for meditation practice. Another temple in Phetchaburi is called Wat Mahathat Worawihan. This holy place is an ancient monastery of Changwat Phetchaburi. Above it all, Hua Hin is such an incredible town that does not only offer the allures of Thai culture and history, but also the charming local people with their friendliness. |
